Yoi Sushi is a cozy sushi restaurant located in the heart of Flushing, NY. Classically-trained, our chefs prepare sushi with beautiful presentation using only the freshest ingredients we can get our hands on. Customer favorites include our uni (sea urchin), live lobster, toro, Osaka duck roll, and melt-in-your-mouth salmon sashimi. Our head chef has been in the Japanese food business for decades and has taken his passion to new heights, from serving sushi to former president Clinton to presenting his unique dishes in international cooking competitions. Our small space seats only enough people for a quiet, traditional environment, and we offer catering platters to host large celebrations and events at other venues. We're excited to bring to the table a cuisine that some customers know and love, and others have never tried before. Very quiet place with not typical restaurant style ambiance but they have a room which you can get for 7-8 people. I am a vegetarian and fortunately I got couple of options in soup, salad, sushi rolls and tempura. Sake was good. I think price wise, it is not so bad.

Decent sushi but they were not generous with the portions. The fish were sliced thin and in my case, they ran out of salmon (sake) so they substituted with lox instead. Who does that?! I would've rather gotten more tuna or they could've put a different fish in place. The manager did tell us after we ordered but said he would substitute it with something else. I wish he could've offered us a choice rather than put that in. Prices were medium to high so it's not a cheaper alternative in Flushing. The wait staff was attentive and overall dining room is limited in capacity but decent.
